Scouting Report: Strengths
- Has enough twitch and speed to make an impact coming off the edge as a third-down specialist.
- Banks has good quickness and an excellent understanding of angles, often beating blockers to the spot.
- Handles misdirection well with quick change-of-direction ability. Comes downhill quickly against the run when Banks has an open lane.
- He’s very good in coverage when looking into the backfield in zone coverage.
- Can attack the edge with speed and has the flexibility to dip low and under the tackle's reach.
- Closes quickly on relatively immobile quarterbacks. A consistently heavy hitter who flashes explosiveness and the ability to separate the ball.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Generally an effective openfield tackler but doesn't wrap up consistently. Shows only average awareness in coverage.
- Banks is on the small side, and his frame is pretty much maxed out. Despite his effort and intensity, he’ll simply get swallowed up at times.
- Loses size battle to many tight ends and is easily pushed away on out routes.
