Draft Profile: Bio
Jeremy Lucien attended Choate Rosemary Hall High School and was Following high school, Lucien opted to join Connecticut.In 2018 as a freshman Lucien saw action in 9 games and played a total of 417 snaps at cornerback for the Huskies. He recorded only 9 tackles, 2 assists, while adding no stops. In coverage Lucien notched up one pass breakup, no interceptions, and an unimpressive QB rating when targetted of 127.9.
As a sophomore in 2019 he played in 11 games and logged 273 snaps for the Huskies. He made 17 tackles, no assists, and had 2 stops. In coverage he totaled one pass breakup, no interceptions, and an unimpressive QB rating when targetted of 124.8.
In 2021 as a junior Lucien played in 9 games and contributed on 484 snaps. He chalked up 29 tackles, 2 assists, and added 10 stops. In the secondary Lucien forced 3 pass breakups, 2 interceptions, and gave up QB rating when targetted of 109.5.

Scouting Report: Strengths
- Gives great effort in run support, sticking his nose in as a tackler, and should be able to contribute as a special teamer covering kicks.
- Has the quick feet to mirror receivers underneath. Lucien also has the fluid hips and top-end speed to turn and run downfield. Lucien shows good awareness when dropping into zone coverage, with good route recognition and the ability to break quickly and cover a lot of ground.
- Tracks the ball well and has the natural ball skills for forcing turnovers.
- Instincts are outstanding, and Lucien does an excellent job in route recognition.
- He’s also very good in zone coverage, showing a great understanding of routes and the ability to close quickly.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Lucien might have to add some weight at the next level in order to become more physical.
- Better in press coverage than in off coverage, when Lucien can sometimes look a little shaky when transitioning out of his backpedal.
