Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Reacts well to draw plays and misdirection, sniffs out screens to his side of the field. Keeps his eyes in the backfield when rushing the passer and uses hands and strength to stay in the play.
  • Best attribute. Extreme quickness off the edge, has the flexibility to turn the corner.
  • His ability to anticipate gives him legitimate sideline-to-sideline range. He’ll work hard to disengage when Taylor has to, and he has the long arms and heavy hands to shed blocks.
  • Taylor shows good speed and closing burst when blitzing.
  • Has the dynamic athleticism to be a force on the edge. He’s a fluid mover with bend-and-dip flexibility as a pass rusher, and he uses his long arms to ward off blockers.
  • He’s a natural in coverage, with the movement skills of a defensive back in man coverage against tight ends.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • As explosive as Taylor is as an athlete, he needs to become a better finisher.
  • Taylor is in a hurry to get upfield but shows poor instincts when locating the ball against the run.
  • He lacks the speed of a chase and- tackle guy. Taylor lacks twitch as a pass rusher and lacks the feet and flexibility to threaten around the edge.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
