Draft Profile: Bio
Ajou Ajou from Clearwater Academy International High School was rated a 3-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 4-star grade by 247 Sports. After high school, Ajou opted to join Clemson.

In 2020 as a freshman Ajou saw action in 9 games for the Tigers as he made 2 receptions for just 41 yards for an average of 20.5 yards per reception, with one TD, and QB rating when targeted of 69.1.

As a sophomore in 2021 he played 12 games and had just 6 catches for 73 yards for an average of 12.2 yards per catch, with no TDs, and QB rating when targeted of 69.1.

After season's end Ajou transferred to USF where as a junior in 2022 he played just one game and hauled in just 2 catches for just 9 yards for an average of 4.5 yards per catch, with no TDs, and QB rating when targeted of 85.4.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Does not possess top breakaway speed, though he's rarely caught from behind.
  • Ajou transitions quickly from receiver to runner, and Ajou has enough speed to threaten the seam.
  • Often used on deep routes, getting separation down the sideline or over the middle on crossing routes by extending his arms rather than pure speed.
  • Ajou fights his way off the line of scrimmage against press coverage, showing quick, violent hands and good balance.
  • Improving quickness off the line, though he will stride at times. Fair shake to free himself from defenders playing close to the line.
  • Physical player able to get off press coverage to release up the sideline or position himself inside the cornerback on slants and crossing routes.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Does not always use his hands to secure deep throws, allowing the ball into his pads and chest.
  • Ajou really isn’t a guy who will create a lot of separation.
  • Ajou really isn’t a burner and doesn’t have elite suddenness, which is problematic considering his average size.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
