Scouting Report: Strengths
  • His strong core strength allows him to power through blockers, and Anudike-Uzomah has the flexibility to loop inside and get home on twists.
  • Anudike-Uzomah has good length and displays good power in his hands, which gives him the ability to slip off blocks. As a run defender, he has the speed to chase down ball carriers in pursuit.
  • Offers some versatility, rushing from a two-and three-point stance with the playing speed to stand up in space. Flashes strength as a bull rusher and his energy doesn't plateau.
  • Has fluid footwork to redirect, reverse momentum and close with a burst. Regularly first off the ball with good snap anticipation
  • Anudike-Uzomah can also win going speed-to-power, with the leg drive to push blockers back
  • He’s very instinctive when it comes to countering and solid with overall hand usage.
  • Super high motor player who never gives up on a play
  • He has good timed speed and excellent bend to get around the edge of tackles
  • Has developed as a player and improved every year. Has multiple pass rush moves now that he didn't have two years ago
  • Has a plan as a pass rusher, if the first move doesn't work he's got another ready to go
  • Has enough functional strength to set the edge as a run defender
  • Solid wrap up tackler in run defense, although not a big hitter
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Not always the the first player off the snap, even when lined up over the ball, but his length, effort and short-area quickness still pressures double teams and helps penetrate gaps.
  • While his strength it's far from elite and limits his ability to work the interior/li>
  • Easily taken out of the game by double teams
  • Has limited vision and often takes poor angles finding the ball carrier
  • He needs to do a better job using his hands as a pass rusher, as Anudike-Uzomah too often gets neutralized by longer edge blockers.
  • He is so eager to get upfield that he sometimes abandons responsibilities against the run.

Scouting Report: Summary
Anudike-Uzomah is an edge rusher who has a nice repertoire of moves with the requisite speed for the position and has dominated putting up good pass-rushing numbers against college opposition. He however isn't elite athletically, both in speed and overall strength so his upside is somewhat limited. Despite this, he'll still likely have a solid pro career and looks like an eventual NFL starter. Prior to his pro day (he didn't work out at the combine) Anudike-Uzomah looks like a second/third-round tweener in the 2023 NFL draft.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
