Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Sacks and pressures are product of hustle. Gives effort on every play. Holds the point with length and strong upper body.
  • Plays with exceptional balance and body control, showing off a nasty spin move to counter his speed, with the natural instincts to know when to use it.
  • He’s very instinctive when it comes to countering and solid with overall hand usage.
  • Challenges inside with quickness and strong hands. Run-and-chase defender who can leave a mark.
  • Combines excellent power with initial quickness, but one of his best attributes are his violent hands, which Lang uses with impressive precision.
  • His strength up and down the line of scrimmage, and quickness for his size, make him a mid- to late-round target.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Lacks the ability to be a true edge burner. While Lang was able to physically overpower opponents at the college, he will have to develop a wider repertoire of moves in the pros.
  • Lang doesn’t move well laterally and doesn’t have a lot of range when it comes to pursuing on the backside.
  • Lang lacks suddenness as a mover, and he isn’t going to do much in the pass rush when working one-on-one.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
