After high school, Miller joined Florida.In 2018 as a freshman Miller saw action in 4 games and played a total of 48 snaps at linebacker for the Gators. As a sophomore for the Gators in 2019 Miller played in 12 games and took part in 452 snaps for the Gators. He recorded 40 tackles, 15 assists, while adding 30 stops. Scouting Report: Strengths
- Miller has a compact build, but Miller is a crafty edge player who is very good against the run. He sets the edge and effectively wards off blocks with a strong core, powerful limbs, and natural leverage.
- He has an excellent feel for working off blockers and knowing how and when to counter as the play goes on.
- Reads the quarterback to anticipate and is a candidate to play outside.
- He can move laterally and chase in pursuit. A tough, violent tackler with a non-stop motor, he also shows good awareness when dropping into coverage.
- He plays bigger than his listed size, with the functional strength and motor to take on and hold ground against much bigger blockers.
- Miller has violent hands and consistently breaks away and disengages from blockers. He’s instinctive, reading, reacting and locating the ball quickly, and finishing plays as an authoritative, wrap-up tackler.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- More of a straight-line athlete with some stiffness in his hips to slow .his change of direction.
- He’ll also need to be covered in the run game, more of a Will than a Mike in a 4-3 alignment.
- Size will be a problem. Miller doesn’t have much in the way of take-on skills, struggling to shed once blockers get into his body due to short arms and a relative lack of upper-body strength.
