Following high school, Prince opted to join Mississippi after being heavily recruited.In 2019 as a freshman Prince saw action in 10 games and played a total of 353 snaps at cornerback for the Rebels. He recorded 21 tackles, one assist, while adding 6 stops. In coverage Prince notched up 2 pass breakups, 2 interceptions, and QB rating when targetted of 77.9.
As a sophomore in 2021 he played in 13 games and logged 633 snaps for the Rebels. He made 37 tackles, 9 assists, and had 8 stops. In coverage he totaled 3 pass breakups, 2 interceptions, and QB rating when targetted of 74.8.

Scouting Report: Strengths
- A coordinated athlete with good footwork and balance. A heady cover player with above-average · feel and anticipation in space.
- Has more of a slot receiver skill set, but with more and more small, quick receivers emerging as No. 1 threats, is the kind of quick-footed cover man who can counter those kinds of pass catchers.
- Has the quick feet to mirror receivers underneath. Prince also has the fluid hips and top-end speed to turn and run downfield. He shows good awareness when dropping into zone coverage, with good route recognition and the ability to break quickly and cover a lot of ground.
- Has the recovery speed to make up for mistakes early in the down. He tracks the ball well downfield and has the ball skills and easy leaping ability to high-point the ball and come down with the interception.
- Effective out of the slot, showing the instincts and quickness to mirror when the receiver has a two-way go. Prince has good instincts and awareness when playing off, showing good route recognition and anticipation when breaking on the ball.
- Instincts are outstanding, and Prince does an excellent job in route recognition.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Is not an asset in run support, looking tentative and underpowered when stepping up against the run.
- Needs to develop a better understanding of route combinations and better overall vision.
- Too often gives too much of a cushion while playing off his man, and it becomes especially problematic since he’s not a particularly willing tackler.
