Scouting Report: Strengths
- Has an NFL frame with strong hands, the ability to close quickly on underneath routes and the size to tackle with a thump.
- Good instincts and anticipation reads and reacts with discipline. Dangerous with the ball in his hands.
- He’s tall-framed with long arms to match. With his powerful hands, straight-line speed, and fluidity in his hips, turning and chasing downfield shouldn’t be a problem.
- Lewis has good size and is a fluid mover, capable of mirroring quickness underneath
- Has smooth body control with the fluid ability to plant and redirect in any direction. Plays fast and decisive, arriving to the play with fierce intentions.
- Has enough speed and fluidity to come down and guard slot receivers and even some tight ends in man coverage.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- He’ll draw plenty of flags early on with his playing style. Lewis is hesitant when facing the action in zone coverage.
- Inconsistent getting off of blocks. Can be a step slow to react when a quarterback comes back to his side of the field late in progression.
- He’s a little bit tight and straight-line-ish as an athlete, and Lewis struggles when he has to mirror quickness.
