Scouting Report: Strengths
  • From a physical standpoint, a modern quarterback with a sturdy build able to take a hit.
  • Good (not elite) arm strength and can easily make all the NFL throws with effortless deep passes.
  • Picks up yards with his legs when needed.
  • Centeio has plus arm strength and a willingness and ability to throw receivers open, as well as good ball placement out to intermediate levels.
  • He’s good enough as a runner to work read-option plays, keeping back-side defenders in place.
  • Possesses an NFL arm. Gets the ball from one hash to the opposite sideline in a hurry. Has the zip to hit tight windows on short and intermediate throws.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Centeio has a bad habit of fading and throwing off his back foot when the pocket gets muddled, and Centeio is too often all arm when throwing on the move, sacrificing accuracy.
  • Sails throws to either sideline; receivers make him look good with acrobatic catches. Back-foot throws are not accurate. Sometimes trusts his arm too much, trying to stick passes late in the play or when off-balance.
  • Marginal height, which will prove more of a detriment in an offense that asks him to drop back from center more often.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
