Tyler Beach from Port Washington High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 3-star grade by 247 Sports. Following high school, Beach opted to join Wisconsin.In 2018 as a freshman Beach saw action in just 3 games and played a total of 20 snaps for the Badgers. He allowed no QB hurries, no QB hits, and no sacks while playing sparingly.
As a sophomore in 2019 he played in 9 games and a total of 185 snaps. He conceded just one QB hurry, 3 QB hits, and no sacks while playing the majority of his snaps at left tackle, and the rest at tight tackle.
In 2020 as a junior Beach saw action in 7 games and totaled 432 snaps. He gave up just 2 QB hurries, one QB hit, and one sack while playing at right tackle.
In 2021 as a senior Beach saw action in 13 games and played a total of 827 snaps for the Badgers. He allowed 13 QB hurries, 8 QB hits, and 3 sacks while playing at left tackle.

Scouting Report: Strengths
- Showing some nastiness to his game, Beach will sustain blocks through the whistle, thriving when he’s in the phone booth.
- Solid positional run blocker who flashes the nasty demeanor and killer instinct scouts covet.
- Beach will have a chance to develop as a right tackle or possibly inside at guard, where he could be an interesting prospect for a zone-blocking team. If nothing else, that versatility is enough to make him at least a quality reserve.
- Shows excellent awareness against twists and stunts, and he has the strong, flexible core and wide base to catch and handle moving defenders.
- Cerebral player, quick to react to twists and stunts up front, and he shows an excellent understanding of angles when moving out as a run blocker.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- While he’s solid as an athlete, he’s more comfortable moving forward as a run blocker than setting in pass protection, as Beach too often relies solely on his initial punch to stand up pass rushers instead of moving his feet.
- Often gets too high in his sets, sacrificing some of his power, and he doesn’t show great coordination between his upper and lower body when sliding back in pass protection.
- Beach seems too focused on winning with his hands, too often stopping his feet. Beach also plays with poor balance in the run game, lunging into contact rather than sinking his hips and delivering a block.
- Has a bad habit of panicking on reach blocks, lunging, and grabbing rather than trusting his athleticism to get him in position, which could lead to frequent flags for holding.
