Two knee injuries cost Omeire the 2020 and 2021 seasons after he signed with Texas as a four-star prospect from Fort Bend Austin High School in the Houston area. He returned for four games in 2022, made one catch, then transferred to Arizona State.In 2023 he caught 20 passes for 223 yards and tied for the Sun Devils' lead with three receiving touchdowns; his 2024 season covered 12 games and five receptions for 59 yards. Omeire moved to UNLV for 2025 and produced his largest totals, 30 catches for 514 yards and five touchdowns across 14 games.
He scored on a contested grab against UCLA, hauled in a 68-yard touchdown at Colorado State, posted a season-high 83 receiving yards against Utah State and added 60 yards against New Mexico. In January 2026 the sixth-year receiver signed with New Mexico out of the portal, his fourth school, with one season of eligibility remaining.

Scouting Report: Summary
Troy Omeire is a big-bodied red-zone target who has finally stayed healthy enough to produce. After two knee injuries cost him full seasons early at Texas, the 6-foot-4 receiver landed at UNLV and posted career highs of 30 catches for 514 yards and five scores in 2025, winning at the catch point on contested grabs and dropping only two passes. The size and hands are the draw.The limitations are significant. He runs a below-average timed number, so he does not separate vertically or create after the catch, and his injury history plus a sixth-year, fourth-school profile leave little runway. Even his best season was modest in volume, and he wins on size and positioning rather than any burst, which caps the role.
He fits a timing offense that wants a big red-zone target on the boundary, and he moves to New Mexico for a final season. Overall, the frame and catch-point ability give him a niche, but Omeire projects as a developmental jump-ball specialist and camp body whose draft case rests almost entirely on his size in contested and red-zone situations. At his age and with his injury history there is little projection left, so a team is buying exactly what the tape shows, a jump-ball winner who must earn a role on special teams and near the goal line.
