As a sophomore in 2020 he played in 6 games and a total of 438 snaps. He conceded just 3 QB hurries, 2 QB hits, and one sack while playing at left tackle.

In 2021 as a junior Rouse saw action in 12 games and totaled 733 snaps. He gave up 9 QB hurries, no QB hits, and 3 sacks while playing at left tackle.

In 2022 as a senior Rouse saw action in 10 games and played a total of 650 snaps for the Cardinal. He allowed 11 QB hurries, 5 QB hits, and 5 sacks while playing at left tackle.

Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Has the natural power to move defenders at the point of attack. Rouse also has the agility and speed to get out in front and land blocks at the second level. He also shows a good understanding of angles when climbing to the second level.
  • Coordinated when moving to the second level as a run blocker, capable of landing blocks on the move.
  • Best on the outside because of his height and athleticism, but is capable of blocking on the move.
  • Effective grappling in the phone booth, with the upper-body strength and strong hands to outbattle defenders. Rouse also shows a good understanding of angles when moving out to the second level
  • He’ll appeal to man-blocking teams, and he’s a fairly high-upside developmental pick when considering his value in the run game.
  • Has the functional strength to hold up against the bull rush, and Rouse shows exceptionally quick and precise hands.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Is a little too much of a waist bender, and Rouse doesn’t play with ideal power and functional strength. Most concerning - he often gets caught dropping his head, a bad habit that will have to be corrected.
  • While he’s solid as an athlete, he’s more comfortable moving forward as a run blocker than setting in pass protection, as he too often relies solely on his initial punch to stand up pass rushers instead of moving his feet.
  • Often gets too high in his sets, sacrificing some of his power, and he doesn’t show great coordination between his upper and lower body when sliding back in pass protection.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
