Scouting Report: Strengths
- Strange fights his way off the line of scrimmage against press coverage, showing quick, violent hands and good balance.
- An excellent blocker on the outside, Strange also adds value in the running game.
- He’s also a catch-and-run threat, a creative runner who has good vision in the open field; he’ll be an option to return kicks as well.
- Shows good sense as a route runner and provides an enormous catch radius over the middle of the field. Strange has soft hands and uses his frame effectively to shield defenders, making him a major threat in the red zone.
- Size limitations are obvious, but he's a tough pound-for-pound blocker.
- Looks to get involved downfield and will block multiple defenders on a single play when he can. Understands his role as a blocker.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- And he’ll need to become a sharper route runner, especially on option routes, to create separation at the intermediate level.
- Strange also had problems with drops when coming back to the action. Strange has some issues against press coverage, sometimes spending too much time hand fighting at the line of scrimmage.
- While Strange has the athleticism to be a catch-and-run threat, he never seemed comfortable catching, gathering, and transitioning to a runner.
