Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Shows excellent awareness when presented with stunts and blitzes, and Jennings works well with teammates on combo blocks
  • Displays good awareness when it comes to reading moving bodies, effectively reacting and adjusting. Jennings also shows a good feel for combo blocks.
  • Bursts offthe line of scrimmage and has tremendous natural strength and power, able to dominate at the point of attack and wipe out defenders in the run game.
  • Dips shoulder and moves his feet to get outside leverage when needed. Strong and low coming out of his stance, effective in short-yardage situations.
  • A smooth mover and covers a lot of ground, working hard to mirror rushers; agile and keeps his feet moving.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Often simply tries to push pass rushers past the pocket. Jennings can also look a bit hesitant when it comes to recognizing and reacting to twists, stunts and blitzes up front.
  • Can struggle to stay engaged, especially on the second level. His hand placement can be sloppy, costing him power.
  • While he’s solid as an athlete, he’s more comfortable moving forward as a run blocker than setting in pass protection, as Jennings too often relies solely on his initial punch to stand up pass rushers instead of moving his feet.
  • Jennings doesn’t have ideal coordination between his upper and lower body and is often overeager to land an initial punch, he is prone to playing off-balance and struggling against counter moves.
