Scouting Report: Strengths
- Soft hands. Flashes good to very good tracking and overall body control to make catches outside of his frame.
- Quick athlete and is usually sure-handed as a receiver. Much-improved route runner, creating space in coverage.
- A savvy, reliable pass catcher with good body control and focus. Soft hands and has the hand-eye coordination to secure wild throws.
- Good effort at the point of attack and second level as a blocker. Intelligent and will quickly acclimate to an NFL offense.
- Willis has reliable hands and shows the willingness to make catches in traffic over the middle.
- A fluid mover capable of creating some separation over the middle of the field, Willis has the long arms and soft hands to provide a sizable catch radius.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- He’ll have to develop a better feel for sitting down against zone coverage.
- He’ll give enough effort to get in the way, but because Willis doesn’t get any push in the run game, he won’t be used in-line early in his career.
- Effort blocker who gets in the way more than he mauls.
